Channon Hanna

Associate Director, Government Affairs

Channon Hanna joined ACI-NA as Associate Director, Government Affairs in May 2008.
 

In her current role as Associate Director, Government Affairs, she closely monitors congressional actions affecting the aviation industry and works with members of the Senate and their staffs on aviation related issues and related legislative developments in the Senate.
 

She most recently served as legislative assistant on the U.S. Senate's Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, where she helped draft several security provisions that were included in both the Coast Guard authorization bill for 2006 and 2008, and was the main point of contact for the Maritime Administration authorization for 2008. She also worked on Senate and conference negotiations of the Security and Accountability for Every Port Act and other transportation safety legislation, including National Transportation Safety Board Reauthorization and the Senate’s FAA Reauthorization bill.

A native of Greenville, S.C., Hanna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Auburn University.
