James Briggs, Jr.

James Briggs brings unique
expertise in legal and environmental issues at airports to his role as ACI-NA's
Vice President, Legal. Briggs manages regulatory and legal policy initiatives,
as well as provides strategic counsel on environmental matters.
Previously, he served for nine years as legal counsel for Springfield-Branson Regional Airport in Springfield, Mo. Briggs also contributes his experience within the small airport environment to related policy matters and programs. Prior to his tenure at Springfield-Branson, Briggs served for six years on active duty in the U.S. Air Force as a judge advocate, where he was awarded several decorations in recognition of his meritorious service.
In addition to his law degree from Florida State University, Briggs holds a bachelor's degree from Louisiana Tech University and a master's degree from University of Missouri-Columbia.
