Diane Peterson
Senior Advisor, International Affairs
As Senior Advisor,
International Affairs, Diane Peterson formulates ACI-NA's international
aviation policy and regulatory initiatives. Peterson created and manages the
U.S. International Air Service Program, which promotes U.S. airport interests
in obtaining international air service and preserving airport proprietary
rights. She participates on U.S.
aviation delegations which negotiate air transport agreements.
In 2004, Peterson took responsibility for the ACI-NA Facilitation Working Group,
which deals with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, US-VISIT Program Office.
State Department’s Bureau of Consular Affairs, and Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention on border control, processing and facilities issues. She serves on the CBP Airport and Seaport
Inspections User Fee Advisory Committee.
Before joining ACI-NA, Peterson worked at the Civil Aeronautics Board in a variety of posts, including desk officer for Mexico and South America, desk officer for the Middle East and Special Economic Projects. She has served as president of the International Aviation Club in Washington, D.C.
Peterson holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Kentucky, Phi Beta Kappa.
