ACI-NA offers three types of Airport membership:

1. Regular Members

ACI-NA Members which are geographically within the boundaries of the U.S. and Canada.  Dues are calculated as detailed below.

2. Participating Members

ACI Members which are geographically within the boundaries of the U.S. and Canada, but have chosen to participate in another ACI region.  Dues are 35% of ACI-NA Regular Member dues.

3. Affiliate Members

ACI Members from another region which choose to pay a membership fee to ACI-NA in order to participate in the activities of the North American region.  Dues are 20% of ACI-NA Regular Member dues.

DUES FORMULA

All Airport Membership dues are formula-based and are a function of an airport’s passenger and cargo activity. The passenger and cargo levels are accounted for through the determination of an airport’s “traffic units” (TUs). For the determination of traffic units, a TU is assigned for each of the following:

  • Each enplaned passenger = 1TU
  • Each deplaned passenger = 1TU
  • Each 100 kilograms (220.46 lbs) on enplaned freight and mail = 1 TU
  • Each 100 kilograms (220.46 lbs) on deplaned freight and mail = 1 TU

Dues levels are based on total TUs at an airport for the year in which a full year of traffic data is available (i.e. 2008 membership dues are based on 2006 traffic data since the information is calculated in October/November 2007 time period).
