Finance Committee

Finance Committee This committee is a forum to share ideas and exchange information among fellow airport finance and business professionals, which consists of the following: capital needs, financing methods, federal funding issues, revenue sources, expenses, rates and charges, privatization and benchmarking. Issues such as airport financial structures (residual vs. compensatory) and financing mechanisms such as retained earnings, bonding, and PFC's are considered.

The committee also provides its members the opportunity to discuss PFC procedures, accounting, remittance, and management controls.  The committee works to initiate and complete an annual work plan of projects that will benefit the airport industry and actively provides the ACI-NA Board and other ACI-NA committees with input to key financial and business legislative and/or policy matters, and to coordinate selected initiatives. This committee assists planning the annual ACI-NA Economics and Finance Conference and plans as well as holds an Airport CFO Summit each year to share ideas and best practices.  Finally, it actively supports the financial benchmarking initiatives to accurately compare airports and provides effective support to ACRP finance initiatives to report progress to the Committee.
