Safety Management System A/C Released
February 2007 – The FAA has released an Advisory Circular introduction of the Safety Management System (SMS). Along with this Advisory Circular, FAA has opened a rulemaking on the implementation of SMS at civil airports as well as funding several projects studying the benefits of SMS.- AC 150-5200/37: Introduction of Safety Management System for Airport Operators (PDF file).

September 2007 – FAA recently updated Advisory Circular 150/5370-10C Standards for Specifying Construction at Airports.
January 24, 2006 - FAA recently issued Change 7 to Advisory Circular 150/5320-12C Measurement, Construction, and Maintenance of Skid-Resistant Airport Pavement Surfaces. This change updates information regarding the manufacturers of FAA qualified Continuous Friction Measuring Equipment.
January 24, 2006 - FAA recently issued Advisory Circular 150/5345-12E Specification for Airport and Heliport Beacons. This Advisory Circular contains equipment specifications for light beacons which are used to locate and identify civil airports, military airports, seaplane bases, and heliports. Please note that A/C 150/5345-12D dated Aug. 31, 2005, is hereby canceled.
