ACI-NA Files Comments on One Engine Inoperative Notice of Policy; Two Draft FAA Advisory Circulars Currently Open for Industry Comment

ACI-NA recently submitted comments to the FAA regarding the Proposal to Consider the Impact of One Engine Inoperative Procedures in Obstruction Evaluation Aeronautical Studies (otherwise known as the OEI Notice of Policy).  We appreciate the input airports provided on this issue.

The FAA also recently issued a series of draft Advisory Circulars (ACs) pertaining to standards for specifying construction of airports, as well as recommendations about the installation of airport visual aids.  ACI-NA staff reviewed both ACs and identified no problematic issues with either AC.  However, should you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.

Draft AC 150/5370-10-G-Standards for Specifying Construction of Airports relates to materials and methods used for airport construction including earthwork, flexible base courses, rigid base courses, flexible surface courses, rigid pavement, fencing, drainage, turf and lighting installation.

Draft AC 150/5340-30H-Design and Installation Details for Airport Visual Aids provides guidance and recommendations about the installation of airport visual aids.
