ACI-NA Scholarships

ACI-NA/CAC Scholarships

ACI-NA/CAC offers two scholarships to help support the future workforce of the airport and aviation industry:  the Commissioners Scholarship Fund and the Gerry Bruno Scholarship.

ACI-NA Commissioners Scholarship

ACI-NA Commissioners, made up of members of the Boards, Commissions and Trustees of ACI-NA member airports, established a Scholarship Fund in 1993 to recognize students with high academic achievement who are working toward a career in airport management or airport operations.

The scholarship program recognizes the importance of the highly specialized education necessary to fill the extremely complex and multi-disciplined role of being a professional airport administrator or airport operator. To effectively run today’s modern aviation facilities, an airport manager or airport operator must have high levels of management, operational and accounting skills coupled with some aviation experience.

The ACI-NA Commissioners Scholarship Fund is independently administered by the University Aviation Association (UAA). The University Aviation Association (UAA) plays a pivotal role in the advancement of degree-granting aviation programs that represent all segments of the aviation industry. As a non-profit organization, UAA is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(C) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Therefore, your gift to the ACI-NA Commissioners Scholarship fund is tax-deductible to the full extent provided by law.

Mr. Bruno has had a lifelong appreciation of the role of education throughout his career, earning two degrees, supplemented with airport specific studies and accreditation.

Independently administered by the Canadian Airports Council (CAC), in cooperation with ScholarshipsCanada, this scholarship recognizes students with high academic achievement who are working toward a career in aviation management, planning, marketing and/or policy.
