Airports Invited to TALPA Update Meeting on July 11 & 12 in Washington, DC

The FAA’s Takeoff and Landing Performance Assessment (TALPA) working group will host a TALPA Update meeting on July 11-12, 2017 at the Naval Heritage Center in Washington, DC.

The meeting will provide an overview and summary of TALPA’s effectiveness over the past winter season, discuss lessons learned and stakeholder feedback, and serve as an opportunity to describe and or review potential changes under consideration to the TALPA process.

Representatives from FAA’s Office of Airports, Flight Standards Service, Air Traffic Control Organization, Transport Aircraft Standards and the Federal NOTAM Systems will make presentations and address questions and concerns.

The TALPA update meeting is scheduled from 9am-4pm on both meeting days at the Naval Heritage Center, located at 701 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC.   FAA is anticipating 150-200 participants.  As a result, ACI-NA is encouraging airports to RSVP as soon as possible to ensure seats are available (FAA is also inviting other industry stakeholders, including airline operators, manufacturers and others on a first come basis).

To participate, please RVSP with your name, title and organizational affiliation via email to 9-AWA-TALPA@FAA.gov. Additional information, including the meeting agenda, will soon be posted on the TALPA website.  Additionally, if you are planning to attend, please send a follow-up email to either ACI-NA’s Chris Oswald or Paul Eubanks indicating your attendance.
