Bill Swelbar Presents on US Airport and Regional Jet Capacity Trends at Airline Industry Consortium Annual Meeting

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Airline Industry Consortium recently held their annual research meeting in Cambridge, MA.  As you may know, the consortium provides a forum for addressing key issues facing the airline industry. The Consortium membership includes ACI-NA, as well as airlines, aircraft manufacturers, aviation consultants, information technology suppliers, infrastructure providers, labor groups and government agencies. Members support and participate in the research and educational efforts of the Global Airline Industry Program, and contribute to the development of strategic aviation research.

During the meeting, Bill Swelbar, Research Engineer at MIT’s International Center for Air Transportation, presented on Update on US Airport and Regional Jet Capacity Trends.  As a member of the Small Airports Committee, the Committee leadership thought you would find the presentation of interest given the Committee’s focus on current air service impacts at U.S. small and non-hub airports.

The Committee leadership welcomes any comments and feedback you might have regarding the presentation (please send comments to ACI-NA’s Paul Eubanks).
