FAA Issues Draft AC on Community Involvement in Airport Planning

This week the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Airports issued their draft Advisory Circular 150/5050-4A, Community Involvement in Airport Planning.  The agency is accepting industry comments until November 8th.  Please find the draft AC, comments matrix and FAA industry letter below.  These can also be found on FAA's website here.

The draft AC provides guidance for community involvement in airport planning, and updates the prior document which was published in 1975.  The AC is "intended to advise airport sponsors, planners, and the public on the need for early community involvement in airport planning, and the methods by which this can be achieved.  It will be used by FAA personnel that are advising airport sponsors and planners on matters pertaining to community involvement".

ACI-NA will be consolidating member comments into one submission to send to FAA.   Members are encouraged to send their own comments directly to FAA as well.
Please do not hesitate to contact Katherine Preston (kpreston@aci-na.org) or Chris Oswald (coswald@aci-na.org) with any questions.
