Rowe Honored with Bushelman Award

Patricia Rowe, the airport marketing and public relations manager at Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport, was honored on June 5 with the 2012 Ted Bushelman Legacy Award for Creativity and Excellence during the ACI-NA Marketing and Communications Conference in Sacramento.

In selecting Rowe, the Marketing and Communications Steering Group noted that Rowe is widely known as an open resource who believes strongly that a strong industry is good for everyone, and open sharing of ideas, technology, procedures are at the core of growing and maintaining the aviation industry. When it comes to her staff, Rowe is a true mentor dedicated to the professional growth of all that work with her. She is the kind of person who pushes individuals to try things outside of their comfort zone and is never afraid to give responsibility when it gives the opportunity for professional growth.

Three words that best described Rowe: savvy, dedicated, and unselfish.

Rowe is the fourth recipient of the award named in tribute to Ted Bushelman, who managed communications at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. The first award was given to Bushelman in 2008. Bushelman, who died suddenly in March 2011, was one of the founders of the committee and the conference.
