SEADOG and WESTDOG to Host 3rd Annual Conference

The Southeast Airport Disaster Operations Group (SEADOG) and the Western Airports Disaster Operations Group (WESTDOG) are encouraging airports to attend the 3rd Annual SEADOG/WESTDOG Conference. This year’s conference, Partnering Towards a Strategic Plan for Growth and Resiliency, is scheduled for August 16-19, 2015 in Savannah, Georgia. Conference registration, agenda and hotel information are now available. Conference topics include temporary flight restrictions related to disasters, mission ready packages for airport disaster operations groups, infectious substance control related to airports, post event recovery practices, table top hurricane exercise, as well as other important topics.

SEADOG and WESTDOG are an informal collection of airports whose purpose is to provide operational assistance to airports hit by natural disasters, such as hurricanes or floods. SEADOG and WESTDOG coordinate fast responses to specific operational needs, supplying teams of volunteer airport staff and necessary equipment needed to return an airport to operational status.
