Webinar Looks at an Alternate Sustainability Ratings

ACI-NA Hosted Webinar: Envision Sustainable Infrastructure Rating System

Executive Summary: This webinar will present an overview of the Envision Sustainable Infrastructure Rating System and will explore how it can be employed at airports.

Issue:  The Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI), and the Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure at Harvard University jointly developed the Envision Sustainable Infrastructure Rating System. The system launched in late 2012 and several projects are currently undergoing certification.  Envision provides a framework for evaluating and rating the community, environmental, and economic benefits of all various infrastructure projects. The system evaluates, grades, and gives recognition to infrastructure projects that use sustainable approaches.

Envision is one of the many sustainability rating systems available or under development for use at airports, including programs such as LEED and the ACRP 02-28, "Airport Sustainability Practices: Tools for Evaluating, Measuring, and Implementing".  In this webinar ACI-NA members will learn about the program, how it works, how it can be applied to airport projects, and hear from individuals with experience implementing Envision.
