The majority of the committee projects are conducted and coordinated at the working group level, wherein members of the respective groups collaborate through conference calls and onsite meetings. These working groups are:

  • Concessions Benchmarking
  • Concessions Contracting and Business Practices
  • Commercial Development/Real Estate

Participation by ACI-NA members is critical for industry products and initiatives to be formulated and carried out. A very brief survey has been created for you to indicate the working group(s) you would be interested to participate in. This short survey describes each of the working groups in detail and should take no more than 5 minutes for you to sign up. Even if you have signed up for the working groups before, please complete the survey to express your continued interest.

In addition, any staff member of your organization can participate on the Commercial Management Committee and Working Groups. Please feel free to forward thisl to interested individuals.

The deadline to complete the survey is February 24, 2012.

After you have signed up for the working group of your choice, you will receive not only general notices about the Commercial Management Committee but also specific notices about the working groups. Conference calls may also be scheduled with working group members to discuss and push forward various elements of the committee work plan. Please stay tuned for these email notices.

The committee will be meeting next during the annual ACI-NA Airport Economics and Human Capital Conference to be held in Nashville, TN on May 7-9, 2012. To view the latest conference information, please click the following link:

There will be three educational sessions related to commercial management: parking revenue strategies, increasing revenue from rental car facility, and innovative income generation and cost reduction ideas. In addition, there will be a Commercial Management Committee meeting to provide updates on all committee projects and initiatives and discuss industry issues.
