Airport Commissioners Present Leadership Award to Representative Jolly

WASHINGTON, DC — Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) today announced that Representative David Jolly (R-FL) was named the recipient of the 2016 ACI-NA Commissioners Congressional Leadership Award.  Now in his second term, Jolly serves on the House Appropriations Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development Subcommittee. As a leading voice of a modern and competitive transportation system, his leadership promotes the airports as economic engines for communities across the country.

“Representative Jolly has been a leader in advocating for modern transportation infrastructure in the ongoing debate on FAA reauthorization,” said Leland Burch, chair of the ACI-NA Commissioners Committee and a member of the Greenville/Spartanburg Airport Commission.  “We are very pleased to recognize Congressman Jolly’s leadership with the 2016 ACI-NA Commissioners Congressional Leadership Award, and we look forward to continuing to work with him to pass a long-term, bi-partisan reauthorization that modernizes the entire aviation industry, including airport infrastructure financing.”

Representative Jolly was elected in 2014 to represent Florida’s 13th congressional district. Prior to Congress, he worked as an influential attorney and advocate. He is also an experienced small business leader, having owned and operated several small businesses.

The ACI-NA Commissioners Congressional Reception was held last night at the Capitol Hill Club in Washington, D.C.
